Review: Classic Munsch Moods

Classic Munsch Moods

What happens when you take all your favourite Robert Munsch characters and put them together? You get this wonderful little book!

In Classic Munsch Moods, readers see characters from other popular Munsch books acting out different emotions. Each page is one emotion, and helps children identify what they’re feeling, and what it may look like. The illustrations are familiar, since they’re all done by Michael Martchenko. Readers of all ages will recognize the drawings, and be able to relate to their favourite characters in this new book.

I’ve always been a fan of the Paper Bag Princess, and loved seeing her standing tall in front of the dragon in this book, showing what “bravery” can look like. Hopefully other readers will spot their favourite characters too.

This book is geared towards readers under the age of five, but I’m sure adults will enjoy taking it out at story time. It’s a great resource to teach little ones about different emotions, and give them an outlook to help communicate their feelings.

Thank you to the publisher for sending me an electronic copy of this book via NetGalley. Classic Munsch Moods came out on September 3, 2019, and can be purchased wherever books are sold.
