July is finally here, which means it’s time to kick off my summer reading! I know it’s felt like summer for a few weeks already, but to me, summer will always be July and August; it’s one of those things from being a student that I just can’t shake. And making summer reading lists has always been something I’ve loved doing.
I always knew that my first tattoo would be both book-related and nerdy. Books have held a special place in my heart since childhood, and, well, I’m a huge nerd. It just made sense. So I don’t think it came as a surprise to my Dad when I finally told him, “Hey, just so you know, I have the phrase ‘DON’T PANIC’ forever scarred into my skin.”
Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows that I love dinosaurs, so when I received a copy of The Dinosaur Artist: Obsession, Betrayal and the Quest for Earth’s Ultimate Trophy, by Paige Williams, I was ecstatic. This book contained so many things that I like: dinosaurs, journalism, natural and political history; how could I not read it?
It’s time for another Thursday TBR, and this week I’m talking about a book I was supposed to read in university but never did (oops!).
The Marrow Thieves was the best book I’ve read (so far) this year, and I need to tell you why.
