Isn’t the cover of this graphic novel beautiful? As soon as I saw it I knew I had to read it. But friends, don’t be like me and assume a pretty cover means a nice, carefree story, because Ever After by Olivia Vieweg is the total opposite. In this story, the main character Vivi is trying to escape not only zombies, but the ghosts of her past as well.

Review: Girls Save The World In This One
“This is an attack. The scientist said the infected are here. Zombies. He called them zombies. The zombie apocalypse is here now.”
When I first received my copy of Girls Save The World in This One by Ash Parsons, I did not think I would be reading it during a global pandemic. This horror-comedy is about a group of best friends that attend a zombie convention and then find themselves in a very real zombie outbreak, and certain parts felt a little too off-putting to read during a worldwide viral outbreak.
Reading about quarantine zones and fighting for survival was a little too close to home, but after I put those aspects aside, the rest of the story was enjoyable.
Review: Dinner
A friend of mine asked for a book recommendation today, and I told her to read Dinner by César Aira without even thinking twice. This cute little book has a pink cover (it’s actually a picture of that disgusting macaroni-olive loaf, a slap in the face to both macaroni and olives) and may or may not be about zombies.
